Re Mapping Your Future workshop

The last difficult moment with your dog doesn’t have to decide what happens next.

In this live workshop, Kathy will guide you to understand how reactive, distressed, or difficult behavior unfolds through what is happening inside you and your dog, outside in the environment, and in-between you—and to begin a new pathway toward connection, trust, and natural cooperation with your dog.

Most dog advice starts with behavior.
This starts with understanding.

Most approaches separate the pieces. They look at your dog’s behavior, the trigger that set it off, how to avoid it, or what you should do when it happens.

That may sound familiar if you have taught and reinforced skills, followed behavior-modification plans, and tried everything you know to help your dog—and yet ordinary life is still more difficult than you expected.

A walk can fall apart when another dog appears. It can feel easier not to have visitors than to deal with what happens when they come. Putting on a harness, getting into the car, calling your dog inside, leaving wildlife alone, settling at home, or caring for your dog’s body can be far more difficult than it should be.

You may already have a loving relationship with your dog—except for the barking, pulling, lunging, chasing, fear, resistance, inability to settle, or other struggle that keeps getting in the way of the life you want to share.

You have tried to change things. You may have trained more, managed more carefully, changed your routines, sought professional guidance, or tried one approach after another.

And still, you might find yourself thinking:

Why are we still struggling? What am I missing? Is this simply the way our life together is going to be?

Ros with Phoebe and Myrtle

“Beyond anything I ever imagined!”

"I am no longer an anxious ball of nerves on walks. The progress we have made is beyond anything I had ever imagined possible. We no longer chase wildlife, joggers or cyclists and we can walk where other dogs are and remain relaxed and connected with each other -- on leash and off!"
~Ros with Phoebe, Myrtle and Ekko

Find your true North Star for life with your dog

When one part of life with our dogs has become difficult, it is natural to become very clear about what we don’t want.

We don’t want our dog to stress-bark, pull, lunge, chase, hide, panic, shut down, or become overwhelmed. We don’t want to plan every outing around what might go wrong. We don’t want to dread visitors, avoid places we once enjoyed, or wonder whether we will ever be able to relax together.

Of course we want the struggle to stop. But stopping what we don’t want is not the same as knowing where we want to go.

Perhaps you want to enjoy a peaceful walk together. Welcome friends into your home. Explore new places. Care for your dog’s body without a battle. Feel confident that you can handle the unexpected together. Or simply enjoy more ease, closeness, laughter, and freedom in your ordinary days.

This is the life you are really reaching for.

When that vision becomes clear, it becomes your North Star. Instead of measuring every moment by whether your dog behaved better, you can begin making choices based on the life and relationship you want to grow.

We’ll begin with one real-life struggle

I know there may be several real-life struggles you want to resolve with your dog. What I’ve found is that the struggles that look separate on the surface are often connected underneath.

The difficulty on your walk may seem unrelated to what happens when visitors arrive. Resistance around the harness may appear separate from trouble getting into the car. Your dog’s inability to settle may look like a different problem from the way they respond to movement, noise, or unfamiliar places.

But when we look beneath the individual behaviors, we often discover a familiar pathway influencing many parts of your shared life.

We’ll begin with one struggle—not only so you can experience a meaningful shift in that part of your life, but because it can become the beginning of a new pathway for your whole life together.

Once you can see that pathway more clearly, I’ll help you discover your Real-Life Partnership Shift. It is the shift that becomes visible when you understand what has been happening, listen to what this experience is asking of you, and let the life you want to share guide what you do next.

The re-mapping plan we’ll create together

This guided workshop will help you become clear about where you want to go, understand the well-worn pathway you and your dog are on now, and find the place where a new pathway can begin.

Know WHAT you are moving toward.

You’ll move beyond what you want your dog to stop doing and become clear about the life you truly want to share. This is your Whole-Life Partnership North Star.

Know WHERE to begin.

You’ll choose one real-life struggle that matters to you and your dog, knowing that the patterns beneath it may connect to far more of your shared life than you can currently see. This is your Real-Life Partnership Doorway.

Understand WHY the struggle keeps repeating.

You’ll see how what is happening inside you and your dog, outside around you, and in-between you has formed a familiar pathway—and why what you have tried may not have changed it. This is your Partnership Pathway Snapshot.

Know HOW to begin creating a new pathway.

You’ll discover what you can bring into this real-life experience differently so that you and your dog can begin moving toward the life you want together. This is your first Real-Life Partnership Shift.

One new moment can become a new lived experience. And as you and your dog build new lived experiences together, the well-worn pathway no longer has to be the only one available to you.

You’ll leave knowing where you want to go, where to begin, and what your first step can be. Most importantly, you’ll see that you and your dog already have something real to build upon.

“I never dreamed this was possible!”

"After adopting Bella who was reactive to EVERYTHING, I never dreamed I would be hiking with BOTH of my dogs, enjoying nature without constantly scanning, and I love having the tools I learned in BPA to keep my little pack safe, calm and happy!"
~Terri and Bella

A Personal Invitation

I originally created Re-Mapping Your Future with Your Dog for the women inside my Brilliant Partners Academy.

But as the workshop came together, I knew this message was too important to keep only inside our member community!

I know what it is like to love a dog deeply, do everything you know to do, and still find yourself inside a struggle that never seems to end.

I also know how much can become possible when we stop making behavior the center of the conversation and begin seeing the whole dog, the whole woman, and the whole life they share.

I would love to guide you as you discover your true North Star for the life you dream of sharing with your dog—and begin mapping the first steps that can lead you there.

I’m so excited about this new workshop. It might be my best yet!

We’ll be doing the mapping together during the workshop. Bring curiosity about your dog and about the small shifts in understanding and support that can make all the difference.

I am eager to share this experience with you!

Much love,
Kathy xo

Your New Pathway Can Begin with This Workshop

Our dogs are never with us long enough, and I don’t believe there is ever a reason to wait for our struggles to disappear before enjoying life with our dogs.

In fact, I know that joy, connection, and laughter can help those struggles begin to fade.

Let’s start now!

You and your dog already have what you need to create a brilliant future together.

Let’s begin mapping the way.
